Father John A. Wynne was pastor of St. Andrew's in August 1883. He and his assistant, Father McDermott, founded St. John's Catholic Society in Wellsboro under the auspices of Bishop O'Hara of Scranton.

Father John C. McDermott was appointed pastor on January 8, 1879 and St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Wellsboro was founded. Rt. Reverand Michael E. Lynnott Rt. Reverend Michael E. Lynnott, pastor of St. Peter's from 1882 to 1889 during which time the Calvary Catholic Cemetery was established and a church building in Hoytville (Morris) was erected.

Besides Wellsboro and the churches in Tioga, Antrim, and Hoytville, he had thirteen missions through out the county under his jurisdiction. Father John O'Toole Father John O'Toole, pastor from 1901 to 1912. Described as a very large and dignified man who embodied the authoritarian attitude of the Church of his time.

Father Jordan, pastor from 1912 to 1916. Described as a man of the people. Father Dennis J. Kane Father Dennis J. Kane, pastor from 1916 to 1918. Left the parish to enlist in World War I and later was elevated to Monsignor.
Father J. L. Golden Father J. L. Golden, pastor from 1918 to 1924. He is remembered as a quiet, friendly man who was extremely pastoral in his religious orientation.

Father Joseph Gilpatrick, served as pastor from January 1924 to November 1925.
Father Henry T. Reap Father Henry T. Reap, pastor from 1925 to 1931. A staunch defender of his faith, was stern but amiable. He kept the parish on a firm financial status during the depression.

Father Maurice A. Hughes Father Maurice A. Hughes was pastor from 1936 to 1942. A down to earth man whose chief extracurricular interest centered in maintaining an excellent garden.

Father William J. Burke was Father Hughes first assistant in 1938.
Father Thomas Kelley Father Thomas Kelley, pastor from 1942 to 1946.His main priorities were his concern for the boys who were inducted in to World War II.

Father Henry B. Korpusic came to Wellsboro in 1945 as assistant pastor. He and the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, who also arrived that year, organized classes of religious instruction for the children. Father Arthur J. McAndrews Father Arthur J. McAndrews, pastor from 1946 to 1958. He was a good and kind priest who was respected by all and accomplished much during his stay.

Father John Lawler, assistant pastor in 1953 to 1957. Father Edward Liptock Father Edward Liptock, became assistant pastor in 1957.
Father John T. Kerrigan Father John T. Kerrigan, pastor from 1958 to 1960. Father Leo J. O'Malley Father Leo J. O'Malley, pastor from 1960 to 1966. Described as very saintly man, he was in his sixties and in poor health. He died on October 6, 1966.

lasky.jpg (9008 bytes) Father Joseph J. Lasky was sent to Wellsboro in 1964 as a assistant pastor due to father O'Malley's illness. He took on the duties as pastor and remained until Father O'Brien arrived. Monsignor John D. O'Brien Monsignor John D. O'Brien was pastor from December 1966 to 1973. His main objective and main accomplishment was to build a new church for St. Peter's. He was the only pastor to hold the rank of Monsignor at St. Peters.

Father Robert J. Brague served as assistant pastor from 1970 to 1972. He was the last assistant pastor at St. Peter's.
Father Thomas J. Hannigan Father Thomas J. Hannigan, pastor from 1973 to1979. A modest man, extremely strong in his beliefs and view points. Father Mike Bryant Father Mike Bryant was the first priest ever ordained from St. Peter's. He grew up in Wellsboro and was ordained in 1978. He held his first mass at St. Peter's.
Father John T. Albosta

Father John T. Albosta served from 1979 to 1985.  He was the first Polish priest at St. Peter's, and described as a "priestly" priest by the parishioners.

Father Paul M. Mullen Father Paul M. Mullen served from 1985 to 1991.  

Father Michael J. Sullivan served 1991 to 2002.
