The oldest grave is dated 1876 and is the resting place of Adam Ditenhoffer. It is believed that Mr. Ditenhoffer was buried there after the cemetery's beginning in 1883 to be with the rest of his family. William Stegeman, age 92, is the oldest person buried there. There are also Veterans from the Civil War, World War I, World War II, Korea, and Vietnam.

The Cemetery Committee is responsible to restore, preserve and improve Calvary Cemetery as a dignified memorial to our deceased parishioners and other beloved early members of our community to whom we owe a debt of gratitude for their many contributions.

Volunteers take responsibility for seasonal maintenance and beautification through the "Adopt-A-Plot" program and related activities. These parishioner "Guardian Angels" attend to the plots of the deceased whose families have moved away from the area and are no longer able to visit the graves.

In 1995 the committee initiated a Perpetual Care Fund under the supervision of the Diocese of Scranton to earn enough interest to be used to help maintain the cemetery grounds.
